Privacy Policy
Last updated: 5 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information I collect, why, and what your rights are. Home With Nicola takes your privacy seriously, and your health information especially so.
1. Who I am
Home With Nicola is run by Nicola as a sole trader in the United Kingdom, and is the data controller for the information described here. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, email nicola@homewithnicola.com.
2. What I collect
-
Contact details: your name, email, and anything you include when you message me.
-
Booking details: the sessions or events you book, and your attendance.
-
Payment information: taken and processed by Stripe. I do not see or store your full card details.
-
Health information: the answers you give on your health screening before a session. This is special category data under UK GDPR, and I treat it with extra care (see section 4).
-
Email and marketing data: if you join my list, your email and how you interact with what I send, managed through Kit.
-
Website and usage data: basic analytics and cookie data when you use the site.
3. Why I use it, and my lawful basis
-
To deliver what you have booked and keep you safe during practice: this is necessary to perform our contract, and for health information, your explicit consent.
-
To take payment: necessary to perform our contract.
-
To send you marketing emails: only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link.
-
To run and improve my work, keep records, and meet legal and tax duties: my legitimate interests and my legal obligations.
4. Your health information
The health screening exists so I can decide what is safe to offer you. I collect it on the basis of your explicit consent, I use it only for your safety and care, I keep it no longer than I reasonably need it, and I store it securely with access limited to me. You can withdraw consent and ask me to delete it, though if you do I may not be able to safely offer you certain practices.
5. Who I share it with
I use trusted providers who process data on my behalf: Wix (website and bookings), Stripe (payments), Kit (email), Google (calendar and email), my video provider (Zoom or Google Meet) for online sessions, and, if you join it, Skool (community and courses). Each processes your data only as needed to provide its service. Some are based outside the UK, including the US, and where that is the case appropriate safeguards are in place as required by UK data protection law. I do not sell your data to anyone.
6. How long I keep it
I keep personal information only as long as I need it for the purpose I collected it, or as long as the law requires (for example, tax records for six years). Health screening information is kept only while it is relevant to your practice with me, and then deleted.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how I use it, or provide it in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email nicola@homewithnicola.com and I will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
8. Cookies
My website uses cookies to function and to understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings and through any cookie banner on the site.
9. Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
10. Contact
For anything about your data, email nicola@homewithnicola.com.
